The current national efficiency standard for new heat pumps requires a minimum HSPF
of 7.7 and a minimum SEER
of 13.



Heating Systems
Heating and cooling systems are major factors for those looking to purchase homes, and are a critical part of living comfortably.

Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency (AFUE).
Indicated as a percentage, your furnace's AFUE tells you how much energy is being converted to heat. For example, an AFUE of 90 means that 90% of the fuel is being used to warm your home.

Simply stated, a heating system with a AFUE of 93.1 can provide an approximate 31% reduction in heating costs compared to an older 64 AFUE system.
